JumpTrend vs Modash

Modash is a real product used by real brands. JumpTrend is a different job. This page is for an indie iOS or solo SaaS founder trying not to buy a creator database because a comparison article told them to.

Modash indexes creators so a team can search, filter, unlock emails, track campaigns, and (especially with Shopify) pay and attribute. JumpTrend scrolls TikTok and Instagram on real phones as your ideal customer and returns who that feed is already pushing.

What Modash is (fairly)

Modash markets itself as a Shopify-first influencer platform: discovery across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, a CRM, outreach with email context, tracking, and payouts. Public pricing (as of 2026) starts around $199/month on annual billing for an Essentials tier, with higher Performance and Enterprise tiers, usage caps on profile views and email unlocks, and a trial. Exact caps and prices change; read modash.io/pricing before you buy.

It is good at scale. If you have a coordinator, a catalog, and a hundred creators to vet, a large index with audience filters is a rational tool. Shopify gifting and affiliate tracking are features, not bugs, for that buyer.

It is not pretending to be a solo-founder app-install shop. Their own positioning leans stores and teams.

What JumpTrend is (fairly)

JumpTrend (jumptrend.co) is creator-powered app marketing for founders who can ship but cannot do marketing. You define an avatar. They scroll that avatar’s algorithm on real phones. You get trending creators in that niche. Scout is $1,500/month for the list. Outreach is $2,500 if you want contacting and follow-up. Dealmaker is $5,000 if you want contract generation you approve. Creator fees extra. No demo, no sales call. No download guarantee. You approve every creator and every rate.

No Shopify requirement. No profile-view cap theater. Also: no MMP, no payouts rail, no YouTube index, no fake-follower score as a product surface.

When a database is the right tool

Modash answers who exists that matches these filters. That is the right question if you run a store, you need YouTube plus IG/TikTok in one indexer, you want CRM plus payments plus tracking in one seat, you have humans who will live in the UI, and discovery-from-filters is an accepted method.

Hashtag-equivalent filters (keywords, niches, audience geo) describe profiles. For You / Reels ranking describes a session. Indie apps usually fail by pitching the wrong profile, not by failing to find enough profiles.

If your ICP is narrow (a weird utility, a subculture, a problem that does not have a clean “interest” checkbox), the index will still return someone. The feed will return repeaters. Repeaters are who your user already trusts.

I built JumpTrend because I was tired of sliders. A phone that behaves like the customer is a different filter than a 10k-50k checkbox.

Who should buy which

Buy Modash (or stay on it) if: you run a store, you need YouTube plus IG/TikTok in one indexer, you want CRM plus payments plus tracking in one seat, you have humans who will live in the UI, and discovery-from-filters is an accepted method.

Buy JumpTrend if: you shipped an app, you are the founder, you need a feed-qualified shortlist (and maybe an inbox), and you will not use 300 profile analyses a month.

Buy both only if: you have a reason. Example: JumpTrend list as the “in-feed” set, Modash as enrichment (emails, audience estimates) on those handles. Do not pay two seats to do the same CSV twice.

Pricing as of public pages (hedged)

JumpTrend: $1,500 / $2,500 / $5,000 monthly, talent extra, cancel anytime.

Modash: public self-serve starting in the low hundreds per month depending on annual vs monthly, then more for Performance/Enterprise, plus usage caps. Confirm live pricing. JumpTrend is not “cheaper Modash.” It is fewer features for a different question.

What this page will not say

We will not claim Modash’s audience data is fake. We will not claim JumpTrend wins on ROAS. We will not invent customer logos. We will not pretend a database cannot find a micro in a niche. It can. The JumpTrend bet is that appearing in the ICP’s actual algorithm is the missing filter, and that filter is a phone, not a slider.
