Influencer Database

An influencer database (also: creator database, influencer index) is a searchable catalog of social profiles: follower bands, topics, geo, contact unlocks, sometimes audience estimates and fraud scores. Modash-class products are the clean example. Larger “all-in-one” platforms (Aspire as of 2026, others) include a database plus a CRM and a marketplace.

It answers who exists that matches these filters. It does not answer who a particular customer is being shown tonight.

Why it matters to a founder or a shop

Databases feel like work. A slider, an export, a sense of completeness. Indie apps usually fail by pitching the wrong profile, not by failing to find enough profiles. A 350-million-row-class index will still return someone in a weird niche. Recurrence on a warmed For You is a different filter.

Agencies buy databases because outreach history and email unlocks are real jobs. They get in trouble when the first slide is a filter export labeled “custom research.”

What a database is good at

  • Scale and filters
  • Email unlocks (within the vendor’s rules and the creator’s public info)
  • Audience and geo estimates as a prior
  • Deduping a huge prospect list
  • Enrichment on handles you already trust

What it is weak at: the session. Personalized ranking is not a checkbox. Hashtag-equivalent keywords describe self-report.

How JumpTrend relates

JumpTrend is built against the database-as-roster habit, not against the existence of indexes. Avatar on real phones, TikTok and Instagram, list at Scout $1,500/month. You may still look up a handle in a database the next morning. That is enrichment, not discovery.

If you already have a Modash seat you like and a coordinator, keep it. Add a session when the checkbox niche keeps producing the same mid-tiers.

Pricing texture (hedged)

Database SaaS is often public and seat-based (Modash has published self-serve tiers in the low hundreds per month; confirm live). All-in-one program platforms often hide the number behind a demo (Aspire as of 2026). JumpTrend publishes $1,500 / $2,500 / $5,000 and does not unlock 300 profile views as a product surface.

None of those sentences is a quality score.

Honesty limits

A database can find a real micro in a real niche. The JumpTrend bet is that appearing in the ICP’s actual algorithm is the missing filter, and that filter is a phone, not a slider. If your program is “email 2,000 people who used a tag,” you wanted a database and a drip tool. Say so.

What the rows actually are

A row is a profile snapshot: handles, counts, topics inferred from text and tags, contacts the vendor believes are public or previously unlocked, scores the vendor computed. Counts are stale the day after a viral clip. Topics are only as good as the captions. Contacts go dead. Treat the row as a lead, not as a person you have met.

Fraud scores and “authenticity” percentages are vendor opinions. Useful as a prior when a profile looks like a giveaway farm. Not something to put in a creator contract.

Email unlocks and courtesy

Unlocking an email is not permission to drip 1,000 people. App niches are small. A volume sequence will teach educators to filter your domain. If you use a database for enrichment on a feed-qualified shortlist, write a first line that could only come from a video you saw. See outreach that doesn’t get ignored.

Do not scrape private addresses the vendor does not have. Do not buy a shadow list from a freelancer who “knows a guy.”

Founder versus shop

A solo founder rarely needs a 300-profile-analysis cap. They needed eight names. A boutique shop may need the database as system of record and a session for the first slide. Paying enterprise-index prices to produce a founder-sized list is how tools become a tax.

JumpTrend will not sell you completeness. Completeness is the database’s marketing word.

FAQ

Is an influencer database the same as a marketplace?

Often adjacent. A database indexes profiles (search, filters, emails). A marketplace adds two-sided apply/list behavior. Many products are both. Neither is a For You session.

Are the audience numbers real?

They are estimates from public signals and vendor models. Useful as a prior. Not a contract fact. Do not pay a bonus on a database's follower quality score.

When is a database the right buy?

When you have a coordinator, you need emails and filters at scale, and discovery-from-filters is an accepted method. Shopify programs live here comfortably.

Does JumpTrend replace a database?

No. JumpTrend returns a short in-feed list. Enrich those handles in a database if you want emails or audience estimates. Do not buy two seats to export the same CSV twice.
