Influencer Campaign Budget for Apps

Creator-Powered User Acquisition

Two envelopes. Software (the list, the inbox, the paper) and talent (what you pay the creator). Mixing them is how a $1,500 plan looks expensive and a $700 post looks cheap.

I do not have a published ROAS. JumpTrend does not have one either. The homepage line about “amazing ROAS” is a goal against wasted spend, not a benchmark. This page is the math I actually use on the phone, plus what the software costs. Rate-card weather from public blogs lives on How much do TikTok creators charge for app promotion. Do not paste that weather into a contract.

The 50k views floor

When I am finding people I look for roughly 50k average views. Below that the economics often break. Creators with less than that expect far too much money. “$700 per post where the posts get 1k views” is a money sink.

That $700 example is a sourcing filter, not a rate I pay. I have also read “$700 a post” from a creator that gets 50k views. That is a different problem: the first email number, usually unprofitable, which is why I do not talk about the deal over email.

50k is not prestige. It is whether a post can carry a fee without turning into $700 for a thousand views.

$1-$7 CPM, from the method

This strategy, done well, can give you $1-$7 CPM. That number is from doing the method, not from a dashboard I made up. It is not a JumpTrend performance claim. It is not a CPI.

CPM here is fee divided by (views / 1000). If you pay $700 for 1k views you are not in that band. You are in the money sink.

I still measure installs separately. Views are not UA. See measuring creator-driven installs. Do not divide a creator fee by views and call it ROAS. Do not compare it to ASA CPI as if they were the same unit.

Minimum View Guarantee math

What I actually use on the phone: pay $X for N posts with a minimum view guarantee of Y. Balance those three so you hit your CPM.

Example shape, not a quote: we’ll pay you $2000 for 4 posts with a minimum view guarantee of 1 million views. If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. $2k for 1 million views instead of $1k for 500k. The higher number is more psychologically worth it. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on.

If they do not hit the floor, the structure I use is that they keep posting until they do. Write that down. Views on the platform are at least public. Installs on iOS are not.

Hundreds of creators a day because the market is not efficient. One unprofitable quote is not a reason to raise CPM.

Software is not talent

Scout is $1,500/month for the list from an avatar scroll. Outreach is $2,500/month if contacting and follow-up should not be your job. Dealmaker is $5,000/month if the yes should not live in DMs. Billed monthly, cancel anytime.

Creator compensation is extra on every plan. You approve every creator and every rate. No demo. No download guarantee.

Write a talent cap before you see media kits. Software plan plus talent are separate envelopes. Prefer several in-feed people you can name a video for over one mid-tier who felt famous.

If you can write the emails and you like the work, Scout is the buy. If you cannot, Outreach. Do not buy Contract for a first campaign unless you already know you need usage clauses.

What I will not put on this page

  • A CPI, CPC, or ROAS from a blog table, or from JumpTrend.
  • A “fair” percent of follower count.
  • Shop affiliate commissions as a proxy for app-install fees.
  • Reply rates.
  • Hours saved.

If a marketplace shows “typical rate $X,” that is their inventory, not a law. Public 2026 in-feed ranges exist and they conflict. Hedged on the rate page. Not a campaign budget.

Deal structure (flat vs affiliate vs hybrid) is affiliate vs flat-fee creator deals. Unknown apps with messy store attribution often cannot sell pure affiliate. Hybrids exist because both sides are rational.

A founder-scale split

Before you hunt faces:

  1. Cap software (Scout, Outreach, or Dealmaker, or $0 if you will actually scroll).
  2. Cap talent. A number you will not exceed this loop.
  3. Write the CPM you will not go above. If $1-$7 is not profitable for your product, this channel is not a channel for you this month.
  4. Write the decision you will make after posts: repeat, Spark with rights, or stop.

Then run the sequence on How to launch an influencer campaign. If nothing posted, you had a list. That is not a ROAS.
