Auto chess games vs a hashtag list
A hashtag list for auto chess games is a vocabulary tool. It is not a roster. I still scroll as the person who would actually play the first session on a fresh account.
People tag #autochess when they want brands to find them. That is a real behavior. It is also why the list looks public. Another shop emailed a version of it last Tuesday.
The person: US English, 18-30, already bounced off a mobile auto chess that was unreadable and a TFT they cannot play on a phone commute, watches ‘I cannot see the units’ and commute-match videos on a train. They watch unreadable-units, commute-matches, ‘this is a PC UI on a phone’, 15-minute-match-asks. Example: someone squinting at units the size of rice on a phone. The same squint-at-rice face two train rides.
How I actually use a tag, then ignore it
Hashtag search is cheap and fast. You will learn the words. You will also meet the 300k TFT YouTuber who will not record mobile, because that is who buys the tag.
Then I switch to the feed. Fresh account. Real phones. Linger, save, like, comment as if I were them. Once the algorithm is trained I take whoever keeps showing up. Ideally over 50k average views. Below that, $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.
Like a PC esports clip and you will leave the train-phone people. Scout is $1,500/month because some founders will still want the list without becoming a hashtag intern.
When a hashtag is enough
If you are learning that train matches, unreadable UI, not PC esports is next to unreadable-units, commute-matches, ‘this is a PC UI on a phone’, 15-minute-match-asks, a tag is enough. If you are about to spend talent money, it is not.
The tag is PC TFT recappers.
