How to find budgeting apps TikTok creators
I scroll Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube under a fresh account if I’m looking for budgeting apps creators. I try to put myself in the shoes of the person who would download this: US English, 23-34, already bounced off YNAB’s learning curve and Mint’s corpse, watches ‘I make 55k and have 200 in checking’ and overdraft-fee videos on payday night. Then I linger, save, like, and comment as if I were them. Once the algorithm is trained I take whoever keeps showing up.
I do not open #budgetwithme and call the spreadsheet research.
They watch overdraft-fee rants, ‘YNAB is a second job’, paycheck-to-paycheck recaps, ‘I cancelled after the free month’. They already tried Mint until it died, YNAB for one free month, and a color-coded spreadsheet they stopped opening. Adjacent is overdraft shame, rent math, not FIRE and not crypto. Skip the finance bro with a rented car in every thumbnail who is selling a $997 course.
Ideally over 50k average. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink.
What keeps showing up in this feed
The same payday-night recap face two Fridays in a row. The example I want in my head: someone showing the YNAB onboarding wall and then paying a late fee the same week.
Paycheck-to-paycheck recaps already have the audience; an envelope that does not require a weekend of setup can sit in that recap.
Doing this by hand is kind of soul-crushing. One like on a Lamborghini finance guy and the phone will leave overdraft content for a month. That is why I automated the scrolling. Scout is $1,500/month for the list.
The long method essay is How we find creators by scrolling a real TikTok avatar. I wrote the first-person version at How I find influencers.
Reject list, written down
Write the reject before you scroll: the finance bro with a rented car in every thumbnail who is selling a $997 course. Also skip anyone whose last dozen posts are collab ads and who has never talked about overdraft-fee rants, ‘YNAB is a second job’, paycheck-to-paycheck recaps, ‘I cancelled after the free month’.
If they only exist under #budgetwithme, they wanted brands to find them. That is not who is being served to the person who would download this tonight.
50k floor
I want roughly 50k average views because the economics will not work otherwise. Course-sellers quote $700 because the post is a funnel, not a utility demo. $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.
If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from. One no is not the campaign.
Where JumpTrend sits
Scout $1,500 / Outreach $2,500 / Dealmaker $5,000 per month. Creator fees extra. No demo. No download guarantee. You approve every creator and every rate.
