What calendar apps creators charge
I do not have a rate card for calendar apps and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.
The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. Productivity coaches quote course prices for a calendar tour.
The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.
Why email is where the money-sink happens
I prefer email. The contact is usually in a bio under a Notion planner; say this is a calendar-app post. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”
Sunday-night reschedule panic already has the audience; a day view they will actually open Monday is the product.
What not to pay for
A color-coded week that is obviously staged. Do not ask them to time-block a fake CEO week. Ask them to add the dentist and a commute. Skip the CEO-of-one time-blocking creator whose calendar is a product screenshot for a course.
The tag is productivity coaches selling time-blocking PDFs.
What I actually measure
Unique App Store codes, not a screenshot of a rainbow week. App Store installs with a unique custom code. No download guarantee. No demo.
If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
