What car phone mounts creators charge
I do not have a rate card for car phone mounts and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.
The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. Car reviewers quote accessory-roundup rates.
The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.
Why email is where the money-sink happens
I prefer email. The contact is usually in a small commute-driver bio. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”
Footwell rants already have the audience; a live mount that names the car it fits is the demo.
What not to pay for
A garage unboxing that never hits a road. Do not ask for a 15-mount test. Ask them to drive with maps up. Skip the 600k car-accessory reviewer who tests 15 mounts for a roundup.
The tag is car-mod and 15-mount roundups.
What I actually measure
Unique codes, not a 15-mount roundup. Shop or site codes on a live mount. No download guarantee. No demo.
If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
