Ceramic tableware brands vs a hashtag list
A hashtag list for ceramic tableware brands is a vocabulary tool. It is not a roster. I still scroll as your client’s customer on a fresh account.
People tag #tablesetting when they want brands to find them. That is a real behavior. It is also why the list looks public. Another shop emailed a version of it last Tuesday.
The person: the client’s customer is US English, 27-40, already bounced off a Target set they are bored of and an Etsy mug that arrived chipped, watches ‘my Target plates make dinner sad’ and chip-on-arrival videos while they set a table. They watch sad-Target-plates, chip-on-arrival, ‘I want one glaze not a set of 12’, table-setting Sunday. Example: someone unpacking a ‘handmade’ mug with a chip in the rim. The same Sunday-table face two weeks.
How I actually use a tag, then ignore it
Hashtag search is cheap and fast. You will learn the words. You will also meet the 400k home-decor creator whose dining room is a set, because that is who buys the tag.
Then I switch to the feed. Fresh account. Real phones. Linger, save, like, comment as if I were them. Once the algorithm is trained I take whoever keeps showing up. Ideally over 50k average views. Below that, $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.
Like a mansion dining room and you will leave the Tuesday-cafeteria people. Scout is $1,500/month because some founders will still want the list without becoming a hashtag intern.
When a hashtag is enough
If you are learning that Sunday table, chip rage, not mansion dining rooms is next to sad-Target-plates, chip-on-arrival, ‘I want one glaze not a set of 12’, table-setting Sunday, a tag is enough. If you are about to spend talent money, it is not.
The tag is home-decor sets and wedding-registry talent.
