What dating apps creators charge
I do not have a rate card for dating apps and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.
The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. Dating coaches quote makeover prices because that is the business.
The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.
Why email is where the money-sink happens
I prefer email. The contact is usually in a bio under ‘apply for coaching’; write that this is a paid post for an app, not a lead magnet. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”
Burnout videos already have the audience; a smaller prompt-first app can be the ‘what I installed after I deleted Hinge’ beat.
What not to pay for
A 3M-view ‘dating is dead’ rant with no city and no app. Do not ask them to film a thirst trap for your brand. Ask them to set up a prompt and stop. Skip the 1M dating-coach who sells a $2k profile makeover and has never shipped an app.
The tag is dating coaches and matchmakers; they want a makeover funnel, not your indie listing.
What I actually measure
Unique App Store codes and signups in-city, not comments that say ‘so true’ under a burnout rant. App Store installs with a unique custom code. No download guarantee. No demo.
If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
