What DTC supplement brands creators charge
I do not have a rate card for DTC supplement brands and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.
The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. Storefront influencers quote supplement-haul rates.
The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.
Why email is where the money-sink happens
I prefer email. The contact is usually in a bio that is not a 12-tub storefront. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”
Graveyard videos already have the audience; a mix that tastes like something they will finish is the only honest demo. No cure language.
What not to pay for
A before-after you cannot legally run. Do not ask them to claim sleep, muscle, or a cure. Ask them to mix it and say if they will finish the tub. Skip the gym influencer whose whole grid is a storefront of 12 tubs.
The catalog is storefront gym talent who will bury the SKU in a 12-tub haul.
What I actually measure
Unique codes, not a body transformation you cannot claim. Codes on a live in-stock SKU. No download guarantee. No demo.
If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
