How to write an espresso logging app creator brief
An espresso logging app creator brief is not a media-plan age band. It is a session: a person, a problem, a pattern of watch-time. I write it before I open a fresh account.
The sentence I actually scroll as: US English, 26-42, already bounced off a Home-Barista spreadsheet and a notes app of grams, watches ‘I cannot remember yesterday’s grind’ and 6am-shot videos at a machine.
Problem in their mouth: Yesterday’s grind is in a spreadsheet in the other room and this shot is already sour.
Already tried: a Home-Barista spreadsheet, a notes app of grams, and a paper card on the hopper they spilled on.
Watch: forgotten-grind, 6am-shots, sour-shot-rage, ‘the spreadsheet is in the other room’.
Reject: the 500k espresso-influencer whose machine is a $4k brand trip.
Adjacent: 6am sour shots, forgotten grind, not $4k machine flex.

What to put on the page you send a creator
That later page is not the avatar brief. The avatar brief is for the phone. The creator page is: one mechanic, one CTA, one forbid list.
Mechanic: a shot log that is not a forum post, or a grind note they can write with one wet hand. A live listing whose first screenshot is grind, time, and a note, not a social feed.
CTA: Pull, log grind with one hand, drop the code.
Forbid: Do not ask for a machine unboxing. Ask them to log a shot with one wet hand. No medical claims. No fake “not sponsored” energy when you paid them.
Log a shot with one wet hand at the machine. If they never open the product, the video will be a read-through of your website.
What to ignore
Follower counts, “micro vs macro,” competitor creator lists, and anything that starts with #espresso. Those belong in the outreach spreadsheet, after you have names from a feed.
Also ignore “make it go viral.” An avatar brief cannot promise that. It can only promise match.
Example video to have in your head while you write: someone pulling a sour shot because yesterday’s grind was in a spreadsheet they did not open.
Forgotten-grind rants already have the audience; a one-hand log at the machine is the product.
Scout is $1,500/month for the list that comes out of this brief. You approve every creator and every rate. No demo. No download guarantee.
