What family chore apps creators charge
I do not have a rate card for family chore apps and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.
The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. Family vloggers quote brand-haul rates and will put a child on camera. Move on.
The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.
Why email is where the money-sink happens
I prefer email. The contact is usually in a parent-creator bio that is clearly an adult; skip anything that looks like a kid account. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”
Mental-load rants already have the parent audience; a board they run from their phone after bedtime is the product, and you do not target the child.
What not to pay for
A cute kid-checking-boxes video you cannot legally run. Do not ask a child to perform. Ask the parent to set up Saturday’s list on their phone. Skip the family-vlog account that turns chores into a sponsored breakfast cereal.
The tag mixes kidfluencers and toy hauls; you cannot use those even if they would post.
What I actually measure
Unique App Store codes on the parent’s download, not a kid saying the brand on camera. App Store installs by the parent, unique custom code. No download guarantee. No demo.
If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
