What customer feedback widgets creators charge

Creator-powered user acquisition

I do not have a rate card for customer feedback widgets and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.

The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. PLG coaches quote course prices.

The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.

Why email is where the money-sink happens

I prefer email. The contact is usually in a tiny SaaS site contact, often a personal gmail in the footer. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”

Graveyard-board rants already have the audience; a three-question widget is the thing they can ship this week.

What not to pay for

A cinematic ‘we shipped what you asked’ with no widget. Do not ask them to fake a roadmap. Ask them to paste the widget and read one answer. Skip the product-led-growth thread-lord selling a $799 research course.

The tag is PLG coaches; they want a course affiliate, not a widget.

What I actually measure

Unique signup links, not a fake ‘we listened’ changelog. Signups to a live widget product, unique link. No download guarantee. No demo.

If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
