How to find film camera companion apps TikTok creators
I scroll Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube under a fresh account if I’m looking for film camera companion apps creators. I try to put myself in the shoes of the person who would download this: US English, 22-36, already bounced off a Notes app of roll IDs and a light meter they cannot find in a bag, watches ‘I lost the roll notes’ and lab-drop videos at a counter. Then I linger, save, like, and comment as if I were them. Once the algorithm is trained I take whoever keeps showing up.
I do not open #filmisnotdead and call the spreadsheet research.
They watch lost-roll-notes, lab-drop, ‘what ISO was this’, bag-meter-hunt. They already tried a Notes graveyard of roll IDs, a meter they cannot find in a bag, and the camera’s tiny window they misread. Adjacent is lab counters, lost notes, not Leica flex. Skip the 600k film-influencer whose grid is a Leica brand trip.
Ideally over 50k average. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink.
What keeps showing up in this feed
The same lab-counter face two drop-offs. The example I want in my head: someone at a lab unable to say what ISO the roll was.
Lost-roll-note rants already have the audience; a log they can write when they load the camera is the product.
Doing this by hand is kind of soul-crushing. Like a Leica trip and you will leave the lab-counter people. That is why I automated the scrolling. Scout is $1,500/month for the list.
The long method essay is How we find creators by scrolling a real TikTok avatar. I wrote the first-person version at How I find influencers.
Reject list, written down
Write the reject before you scroll: the 600k film-influencer whose grid is a Leica brand trip. Also skip anyone whose last dozen posts are collab ads and who has never talked about lost-roll-notes, lab-drop, ‘what ISO was this’, bag-meter-hunt.
If they only exist under #filmisnotdead, they wanted brands to find them. That is not who is being served to the person who would download this tonight.
50k floor
I want roughly 50k average views because the economics will not work otherwise. Film influencers quote camera-haul rates. $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.
If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from. One no is not the campaign.
Where JumpTrend sits
