Fountain pen journal apps vs a hashtag list
A hashtag list for fountain pen journal apps is a vocabulary tool. It is not a roster. I still scroll as the person who would download this on a fresh account.
People tag fountainpen tag when they want brands to find them. That is a real behavior. It is also why the list looks public. Another shop emailed a version of it last Tuesday.
The person: US English, 26-48, already bounced off a spreadsheet of inks and a Reddit comment they cannot find, watches I bought a duplicate ink and shop-counter videos. They watch duplicate-ink, shop-counter, spreadsheet-graveyard, I cannot remember this blue. Example: someone buying a duplicate blue because the spreadsheet is at home. The same shop-counter face two Saturdays.
How I actually use a tag, then ignore it
Hashtag search is cheap and fast. You will learn the words. You will also meet the 300k pen-influencer whose grid is a weekly luxury unboxing, because that is who buys the tag.
Then I switch to the feed. Fresh account. Real phones. Linger, save, like, comment as if I were them. Once the algorithm is trained I take whoever keeps showing up. Ideally over 50k average views. Below that, $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.
Like a luxury unboxing and you will leave the duplicate-blue people. Scout is $1,500/month because some founders will still want the list without becoming a hashtag intern.
When a hashtag is enough
If you are learning that shop counters, duplicate bottles, not luxury-flex is next to duplicate-ink, shop-counter, spreadsheet-graveyard, I cannot remember this blue, a tag is enough. If you are about to spend talent money, it is not.
The tag is luxury unboxing talent.
