How to find freelance invoicing tools TikTok creators
I scroll Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube under a fresh account if I’m looking for freelance invoicing tools creators. I try to put myself in the shoes of the person who would pay for this tool: US English freelancer, 26-40, already bounced off Wave and a Google Doc invoice they duplicate, watches ‘this client is 45 days out’ and ‘I hate looking like a corporation’ videos on a Thursday when they should be sending the reminder. Then I linger, save, like, and comment as if I were them. Once the algorithm is trained I take whoever keeps showing up.
I do not open #freelancer and call the spreadsheet research.
They watch late-client rants, ‘QuickBooks is for my uncle’s shop’, Doc-invoice shame, 1099 panic. They already tried Wave they outgrew or got lost in, a Google Doc they duplicate, and PayPal.me they know looks unprofessional. Adjacent is 45-days-out, 1099 panic, not SMB payroll. Skip the accounting-TikTok CPA selling a $1k bookkeeping package.
Ideally over 50k average. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink.
What keeps showing up in this feed
The same 45-day-out face two Thursdays in a row. The example I want in my head: someone hovering over send on a reminder and then closing the laptop.
Late-client rants already have the audience; a reminder they will actually send is the product.
Doing this by hand is kind of soul-crushing. Like a dropshipping video and you will leave the 1099 people. That is why I automated the scrolling. Scout is $1,500/month for the list.
The long method essay is How we find creators by scrolling a real TikTok avatar. I wrote the first-person version at How I find influencers.
Reject list, written down
Write the reject before you scroll: the accounting-TikTok CPA selling a $1k bookkeeping package. Also skip anyone whose last dozen posts are collab ads and who has never talked about late-client rants, ‘QuickBooks is for my uncle’s shop’, Doc-invoice shame, 1099 panic.
If they only exist under #freelancer, they wanted brands to find them. That is not who is being served to the person who would pay for this tool tonight.
50k floor
I want roughly 50k average views because the economics will not work otherwise. Quit-your-job gurus quote course prices. $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.
If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from. One no is not the campaign.
