What freelance invoicing tools creators charge
I do not have a rate card for freelance invoicing tools and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.
The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. Quit-your-job gurus quote course prices.
The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.
Why email is where the money-sink happens
I prefer email. The contact is usually in a bio that is their freelance studio, often hello@name.studio. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”
Late-client rants already have the audience; a reminder they will actually send is the product.
What not to pay for
A paid-invoice dance with a blacked-out number you cannot verify. Do not ask them to film a luxury flex. Ask them to send a reminder. Skip the accounting-TikTok CPA selling a $1k bookkeeping package.
The tag is agencies and ‘quit your job’ gurus; they want a course, not an invoice tool.
What I actually measure
Unique signup links, not a ‘I got paid’ dance with no tool. Signups to a live invoicing product, unique link. No download guarantee. No demo.
If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
