What freelance time trackers creators charge

I do not have a rate card for freelance time trackers and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.

The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. Productivity coaches quote cohort prices.

The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.

Why email is where the money-sink happens

I prefer email. The contact is usually in a freelance bio, often a studio gmail. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”

Slack-reconstruction rants already have the audience; a week view a client will accept is the product.

What not to pay for

A rainbow time-block that is not billable. Do not ask them to time-block a fake CEO week. Ask them to reconstruct one real Tuesday, then show the timer. Skip the productivity YouTuber selling a $199 time-blocking cohort.

The tag is productivity coaches; they want a cohort, not a timer.

What I actually measure

Unique signup links, not a ‘I billed 40 hours’ flex. Signups to a live tracker, unique link. No download guarantee. No demo.

If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
