How to write a guitar practice app creator brief
A guitar practice app creator brief is not a media-plan age band. It is a session: a person, a problem, a pattern of watch-time. I write it before I open a fresh account.
The sentence I actually scroll as: US English, 19-34, already bounced off Yousician streaks and a Justin Guitar tab they never finished, watches ‘I own three guitars and play none’ and messy-apartment-riff videos after 10pm.
Problem in their mouth: I wanted to play the riff from the song and the app wanted a 20-minute lesson on my wrist.
Already tried: Yousician, Justin Guitar they stalled on module four, and a paper chord chart on a music stand they trip over.
Watch: unplayed-guitar shame, ‘Yousician felt like homework’, one-riff loops, cheap-amp bedroom clips.
Reject: the shred YouTuber selling a $299 technique course who will not talk to a cowboy-chord adult.
Adjacent: bedroom 10pm, unplayed-guitar guilt, not Berklee flex.

What to put on the page you send a creator
That later page is not the avatar brief. The avatar brief is for the phone. The creator page is: one mechanic, one CTA, one forbid list.
Mechanic: a riff loop that is not a 12-month academy, or a tuner-plus-one-song path. A live listing whose first screenshot is a riff, not a university syllabus.
CTA: Tune, loop the riff, play it ugly. If they need a course login, stop.
Forbid: Do not ask for a full song cover. Ask them to loop the riff and stop. No medical claims. No fake “not sponsored” energy when you paid them.
A working loop they can hear through the phone speaker. If they never open the product, the video will be a read-through of your website.
What to ignore
Follower counts, “micro vs macro,” competitor creator lists, and anything that starts with #guitartok. Those belong in the outreach spreadsheet, after you have names from a feed.
Also ignore “make it go viral.” An avatar brief cannot promise that. It can only promise match.
Example video to have in your head while you write: someone picking up a dusty Strat, opening Yousician, and putting it back after the streak lecture.
Unplayed-guitar shame already has the audience; a riff they can loop tonight is the thing they will film.
Scout is $1,500/month for the list that comes out of this brief. You approve every creator and every rate. No demo. No download guarantee.
