What habit apps creators charge

Creator-powered user acquisition

I do not have a rate card for habit apps and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.

The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. The 8k-follower reset-your-morning accounts quote agency rates for a talking head that never shows the freeze.

The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.

Why email is where the money-sink happens

I prefer email. The contact is usually in a link-in-bio to a Gumroad morning PDF, rarely a media kit. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”

Habit apps die in silence; the people who talk about deleting them already have the audience.

What not to pay for

A shame video that never shows the App Store button. Do not ask them to film a 12-habit onboarding or a 4am 5am club. Skip the 40k productivity guru whose last 12 posts are collab ads.

The catalog is full of wellness coaches who never shipped a utility and want a 30-day morning-routine series.

What I actually measure

Unique App Store Connect custom codes, not streak screenshots in the comments. App Store installs with a unique custom code. No download guarantee. No demo.

If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
