What home scent brands creators charge
I do not have a rate card for home scent brands and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.
The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. Lifestyle sets quote home-brand rates the client’s unit cannot pay.
The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.
Why email is where the money-sink happens
I prefer email. The contact is usually in a small apartment-reset bio, not a PR house. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”
Soot rants and Sunday-reset already have the audience; a live scent they will actually burn is the demo.
What not to pay for
A set room with a candle that never lights. Do not ask for a mansion reset. Ask them to burn it in the room they actually live in. Skip the 1M lifestyle creator whose house is a set.
The tag is lifestyle sets and PR unboxings of 8 candles.
What I actually measure
Unique codes, not a set-designed room. Codes on a live scent SKU. No download guarantee. No demo.
If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
