What homeschool planners creators charge
I do not have a rate card for homeschool planners and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.
The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. Curriculum influencers quote sponsor rates and will put kids on camera. Move on.
The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.
Why email is where the money-sink happens
I prefer email. The contact is usually in a clearly-adult parent-creator bio. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”
Planner-guilt already has the parent audience; a week view they can run after bedtime is the product. Kids are not the audience and not the talent.
What not to pay for
A cute kid-at-the-table video you cannot run. Do not ask a child to perform. Ask the parent to fill next week’s list after bedtime. Skip the homeschool-influencer whose grid is a sponsored curriculum every week.
The tag is curriculum sponsors and kid-on-camera accounts you cannot buy.
What I actually measure
Unique App Store codes on the parent’s download. App Store installs by the parent, unique custom code. No download guarantee. No demo.
If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
