What indie product analytics creators charge

Creator-powered user acquisition

I do not have a rate card for indie product analytics and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.

The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. Build-in-public accounts quote newsletter-sponsorship rates for a mention.

The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.

Why email is where the money-sink happens

I prefer email. The contact is usually in a bio that is just a first-name at gmail, or a tiny indie site contact page. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”

GA4-hate already has the indie audience; a number they can read on a phone is the demo.

What not to pay for

A launch tweet screenshot with no snippet. Do not ask them to flash fake MRR. Ask them to paste the snippet and read today’s count. Skip the growth Twitter thread-lord selling a $499 funnel course.

The tag is SaaS founders selling their own tools; they want a collab thread, not a paid post about yours.

What I actually measure

Unique signup links, not a build-in-public screenshot of MRR you did not earn. Signups to a live dashboard, unique link or code per creator. No download guarantee. No demo.

If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
