How to write a link-in-bio tool creator brief
A link-in-bio tool creator brief is not a media-plan age band. It is a session: a person, a problem, a pattern of watch-time. I write it before I open a fresh account.
The sentence I actually scroll as: US English small creator, 21-34, already bounced off Linktree’s branded splash and a Carrd they cannot update from a phone, watches ‘Linktree looks like an ad now’ and ‘I have to update this from a laptop’ videos after a post pops.
Problem in their mouth: My bio looks like an ad for the bio tool.
Already tried: Linktree they resent, Carrd they cannot edit on a phone, and a single link they keep changing and breaking.
Watch: Linktree-branding hate, ‘I cannot update from my phone’, bio-link-as-ad, tiny-shop grids.
Reject: the 400k ‘creator tools’ roundup whose last 20 videos are affiliate Linktrees.
Adjacent: tiny shops, phone editing, not enterprise link management.

What to put on the page you send a creator
That later page is not the avatar brief. The avatar brief is for the phone. The creator page is: one mechanic, one CTA, one forbid list.
Mechanic: a bio link that is not 17 upsells, or a shop grid that does not look like every other Linktree. A working bio page they can edit from a phone tonight.
CTA: Replace the bio, open it in incognito, show no upgrade banner.
Forbid: Do not ask for a 40-tool roundup. Ask them to replace the bio and screenshot the clean page. No medical claims. No fake “not sponsored” energy when you paid them.
Publish a page, no branded splash on the free view you claim is clean. If they never open the product, the video will be a read-through of your website.
What to ignore
Follower counts, “micro vs macro,” competitor creator lists, and anything that starts with #linkinbio. Those belong in the outreach spreadsheet, after you have names from a feed.
Also ignore “make it go viral.” An avatar brief cannot promise that. It can only promise match.
Example video to have in your head while you write: someone opening their own bio and seeing three upgrade banners before the actual link.
Bio-link hate is already a genre among small creators; a clean phone-editable page is the demo they will film.
Scout is $1,500/month for the list that comes out of this brief. You approve every creator and every rate. No demo. No download guarantee.
