How to find match-3 puzzle games TikTok creators

Creator-powered user acquisition

I scroll Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube under a fresh account if I’m looking for match-3 puzzle games creators. I try to put myself in the shoes of the person who would actually play the first session: US English, 25-45, already bounced off a match-3 that nickel-and-dimed lives and a board that took 3 minutes to load on the subway, watches ‘I am out of lives at 8:12’ and subway-puzzle videos on a commute. Then I linger, save, like, and comment as if I were them. Once the algorithm is trained I take whoever keeps showing up.

I do not open #match3 and call the spreadsheet research.

They watch out-of-lives, subway-load-times, nickel-and-dime, ‘the board is ads now’. They already tried a match-3 that gated lives, a board that loaded for 3 minutes, and a web puzzle they outgrew. Adjacent is subway commute, lives-gate rage, not kids’ games. Skip the family-app reviewer who only posts preschool games.

Ideally over 50k average. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink.

What keeps showing up in this feed

The same lives-timer face two commutes. The example I want in my head: someone staring at a lives timer on a 12-minute subway ride.

Lives-gate rants already have the audience; a first board they can finish on a subway is the demo.

Doing this by hand is kind of soul-crushing. Like a preschool game and you will leave the subway adult. That is why I automated the scrolling. Scout is $1,500/month for the list.

The long method essay is How we find creators by scrolling a real TikTok avatar. I wrote the first-person version at How I find influencers.

Reject list, written down

Write the reject before you scroll: the family-app reviewer who only posts preschool games. Also skip anyone whose last dozen posts are collab ads and who has never talked about out-of-lives, subway-load-times, nickel-and-dime, ‘the board is ads now’.

If they only exist under #match3, they wanted brands to find them. That is not who is being served to the person who would actually play the first session tonight.

50k floor

I want roughly 50k average views because the economics will not work otherwise. Family reviewers quote kids-app rates you cannot use. $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.

If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from. One no is not the campaign.

Where JumpTrend sits
