Merge garden games vs a hashtag list
A hashtag list for merge garden games is a vocabulary tool. It is not a roster. I still scroll as the person who would actually play the first session on a fresh account.
People tag #mergegame when they want brands to find them. That is a real behavior. It is also why the list looks public. Another shop emailed a version of it last Tuesday.
The person: US English, 28-48, already bounced off a merge that energy-gated every merge and a garden that was a wait timer, watches ‘I am waiting two hours to merge’ and evening-couch-garden videos after dishes. They watch energy-gate, two-hour-wait, evening-couch, ‘the garden is a timer’. Example: someone staring at an energy timer after dinner. The same energy-timer face two evenings.
How I actually use a tag, then ignore it
Hashtag search is cheap and fast. You will learn the words. You will also meet the 800k merge-game recapper whose videos are launch trailers, because that is who buys the tag.
Then I switch to the feed. Fresh account. Real phones. Linger, save, like, comment as if I were them. Once the algorithm is trained I take whoever keeps showing up. Ideally over 50k average views. Below that, $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.
Like a kids’ merge and you will leave the after-dishes adult. Scout is $1,500/month because some founders will still want the list without becoming a hashtag intern.
When a hashtag is enough
If you are learning that after-dishes couch, energy-gate, not kids’ merge is next to energy-gate, two-hour-wait, evening-couch, ‘the garden is a timer’, a tag is enough. If you are about to spend talent money, it is not.
The catalog is launch recappers and family-app lists.
