Natural deodorant brands vs a hashtag list
A hashtag list for natural deodorant brands is a vocabulary tool. It is not a roster. I still scroll as your client’s customer on a fresh account.
People tag #naturaldeodorant when they want brands to find them. That is a real behavior. It is also why the list looks public. Another shop emailed a version of it last Tuesday.
The person: the client’s customer is US English, 22-36, already bounced off a ‘natural’ stick that failed on a commute and a clinical they went back to, watches ‘natural deodorant failed me on the train’ and pit-rash videos after a hot day, no medical claims. They watch train-fail, pit-rash, ‘I went back to clinical’, scent-too-loud. Example: someone getting off a train and naming the stick that did not make it. The same train-fail face two hot days.
How I actually use a tag, then ignore it
Hashtag search is cheap and fast. You will learn the words. You will also meet the 1M GRWM whose deodorant is one of 40 PR items, because that is who buys the tag.
Then I switch to the feed. Fresh account. Real phones. Linger, save, like, comment as if I were them. Once the algorithm is trained I take whoever keeps showing up. Ideally over 50k average views. Below that, $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.
Like a 40-item GRWM and you will leave the train-fail. Scout is $1,500/month because some founders will still want the list without becoming a hashtag intern.
When a hashtag is enough
If you are learning that commute fail, rash talk without diagnosis, not GRWM hauls is next to train-fail, pit-rash, ‘I went back to clinical’, scent-too-loud, a tag is enough. If you are about to spend talent money, it is not.
The tag is GRWM talent who will unbox 8 sticks.
