NCLEX prep apps vs a hashtag list
A hashtag list for NCLEX prep apps is a vocabulary tool. It is not a roster. I still scroll as the person who would download this on a fresh account.
People tag #nclex when they want brands to find them. That is a real behavior. It is also why the list looks public. Another shop emailed a version of it last Tuesday.
The person: US English nursing student, 21-30, already bounced off UWorld they cannot afford this month and a YouTube NCLEX they half-sleep through, watches ‘UWorld is a second rent’ and post-shift-question videos in scrubs in a car. They watch UWorld-is-rent, post-shift-questions, ‘I fall asleep in the YouTube’, car-scrubs. Example: someone in scrubs in a parking lot closing a $400 paywall. The same parking-lot-scrubs face two post-shifts.
How I actually use a tag, then ignore it
Hashtag search is cheap and fast. You will learn the words. You will also meet the 400k NCLEX-guru selling a $400 course in every video, because that is who buys the tag.
Then I switch to the feed. Fresh account. Real phones. Linger, save, like, comment as if I were them. Once the algorithm is trained I take whoever keeps showing up. Ideally over 50k average views. Below that, $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.
Like a guru course and you will leave the parking-lot scrubs. Scout is $1,500/month because some founders will still want the list without becoming a hashtag intern.
When a hashtag is enough
If you are learning that post-shift car, rent-priced Qbanks, not guru courses is next to UWorld-is-rent, post-shift-questions, ‘I fall asleep in the YouTube’, car-scrubs, a tag is enough. If you are about to spend talent money, it is not.
The tag is $400 course-sellers.
