What password managers creators charge

Creator-powered user acquisition

I do not have a rate card for password managers and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.

The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. VPN creators quote bundle rates because that is the affiliate.

The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.

Why email is where the money-sink happens

I prefer email. The contact is usually in a bio full of VPN links; write that this is a password-manager post only. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”

Lockout recaps already have the audience; a vault they can actually share with a partner is the next beat.

What not to pay for

A 10-minute homelab tour with your name in the description and no install. Do not ask them to claim they are now ‘secure.’ Ask them to save one login and autofill it. Skip the cybersecurity YouTuber whose whole grid is VPN deals.

The catalog is VPN affiliates and IT consultants; they will not demo a family vault.

What I actually measure

Unique App Store codes, not a VPN-and-manager bundle pitch. App Store installs with a unique custom code. No download guarantee. No demo.

If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
