How to write a pet food brand creator brief

Creator-powered user acquisition

A pet food brand creator brief is not a media-plan age band. It is a session: a person, a problem, a pattern of watch-time. I write it before I open a fresh account.

The sentence I actually scroll as: the client’s customer is US English, 25-42, already bounced off a grocery bag that upset a stomach and a boutique brand that ghosted a shipment, watches ‘this food wrecked my dog for a week’ and unboxing-the-wrong-recipe videos after a vet bill.

Problem in their mouth: The last boutique ghosted a shipment and I was back in the grocery aisle at 9pm.

Already tried: a grocery bag that upset a stomach, a boutique that ghosted a shipment, and a vet food they cannot afford forever.

Watch: upset-stomach recaps, ghosted-subscription, wrong-recipe unboxings, vet-bill dread.

Reject: the 2M pet account that is a costume page.

Adjacent: vet-bill dread, recipe honesty, not costume pets.

What to put on the page you send a creator

That later page is not the avatar brief. The avatar brief is for the phone. The creator page is: one mechanic, one CTA, one forbid list.

Mechanic: a live bag of the current recipe, or a subscription the client can actually fulfill. The client’s live recipe page, in stock.

CTA: Show the recipe, the ship date, the code. No outcomes.

Forbid: Do not ask them to claim the food healed anything. Ask them to show the bag and the ship date. No medical claims. No fake “not sponsored” energy when you paid them.

The bag on camera, real lot, no lab coat. If they never open the product, the video will be a read-through of your website.

What to ignore

Follower counts, “micro vs macro,” competitor creator lists, and anything that starts with #dogtok. Those belong in the outreach spreadsheet, after you have names from a feed.

Also ignore “make it go viral.” An avatar brief cannot promise that. It can only promise match.

Example video to have in your head while you write: someone showing a bag they switched from after a bad week, without claiming a cure.

Upset-stomach recaps already have the audience; a live recipe with a real ship date is the demo. No medical claims.

Scout is $1,500/month for the list that comes out of this brief. You approve every creator and every rate. No demo. No download guarantee.
