How to write a phone tripod creator brief

Creator-powered user acquisition

A phone tripod creator brief is not a media-plan age band. It is a session: a person, a problem, a pattern of watch-time. I write it before I open a fresh account.

The sentence I actually scroll as: US English, 20-32, already bounced off a wobbly Amazon tripod and a friend holding the phone, watches ‘this tripod wobbled and ruined the take’ and kitchen-counter-filming videos after a failed Reel.

Problem in their mouth: The take was good and the last three seconds are ceiling.

Already tried: a wobbly Amazon tripod, a friend holding the phone, and a clamp that does not fit a case.

Watch: wobbly-take, kitchen-counter-filming, ‘my friend is tired of holding it’, case-fit-fail.

Reject: the 800k gear-reviewer who tests 12 tripods for a roundup fee.

Adjacent: kitchen-counter Reels, wobble, not cinema-rig flex.

What to put on the page you send a creator

That later page is not the avatar brief. The avatar brief is for the phone. The creator page is: one mechanic, one CTA, one forbid list.

Mechanic: a live pocket tripod in stock, or a clamp that actually fits a current iPhone case. A live tripod that names current phone compatibility.

CTA: Clamp a cased phone, film a take, show it stays, drop the code.

Forbid: Do not ask for a 12-product roundup. Ask them to film a take that stays in frame. No medical claims. No fake “not sponsored” energy when you paid them.

The tripod on a kitchen counter filming a real take. If they never open the product, the video will be a read-through of your website.

What to ignore

Follower counts, “micro vs macro,” competitor creator lists, and anything that starts with #tripod. Those belong in the outreach spreadsheet, after you have names from a feed.

Also ignore “make it go viral.” An avatar brief cannot promise that. It can only promise match.

Example video to have in your head while you write: someone’s talking-head slowly tilting out of frame.

Wobbly-take rants already have the audience; a live clamp that fits a cased iPhone is the demo.

Scout is $1,500/month for the list that comes out of this brief. You approve every creator and every rate. No demo. No download guarantee.
