Phone tripods vs a hashtag list

Creator-powered user acquisition

A hashtag list for phone tripods is a vocabulary tool. It is not a roster. I still scroll as the person who would buy this SKU on a fresh account.

People tag #tripod when they want brands to find them. That is a real behavior. It is also why the list looks public. Another shop emailed a version of it last Tuesday.

The person: US English, 20-32, already bounced off a wobbly Amazon tripod and a friend holding the phone, watches ‘this tripod wobbled and ruined the take’ and kitchen-counter-filming videos after a failed Reel. They watch wobbly-take, kitchen-counter-filming, ‘my friend is tired of holding it’, case-fit-fail. Example: someone’s talking-head slowly tilting out of frame. The same tilted-take face two failed Reels.

How I actually use a tag, then ignore it

Hashtag search is cheap and fast. You will learn the words. You will also meet the 800k gear-reviewer who tests 12 tripods for a roundup fee, because that is who buys the tag.

Then I switch to the feed. Fresh account. Real phones. Linger, save, like, comment as if I were them. Once the algorithm is trained I take whoever keeps showing up. Ideally over 50k average views. Below that, $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.

Like a cinema-rig and you will leave the kitchen-counter people. Scout is $1,500/month because some founders will still want the list without becoming a hashtag intern.

When a hashtag is enough

If you are learning that kitchen-counter Reels, wobble, not cinema-rig flex is next to wobbly-take, kitchen-counter-filming, ‘my friend is tired of holding it’, case-fit-fail, a tag is enough. If you are about to spend talent money, it is not.

The tag is gear roundup channels.
