Portable blenders vs a hashtag list

Creator-powered user acquisition

A hashtag list for portable blenders is a vocabulary tool. It is not a roster. I still scroll as the person who would buy this SKU on a fresh account.

People tag #portableblender when they want brands to find them. That is a real behavior. It is also why the list looks public. Another shop emailed a version of it last Tuesday.

The person: US English, 21-34, already bounced off a USB blender that died mid-smoothie and a full blender they will not get out at work, watches ‘this blender died at work’ and chunky-protein videos at a desk. They watch died-at-work, chunky-protein, USB-charge-fail, ‘I will not get the big blender out’. Example: someone sipping a chunky shake because the cup died at 40 percent. The same chunky-sip face two workdays.

How I actually use a tag, then ignore it

Hashtag search is cheap and fast. You will learn the words. You will also meet the 700k kitchen-gadget reviewer who tests 10 blenders for a roundup, because that is who buys the tag.

Then I switch to the feed. Fresh account. Real phones. Linger, save, like, comment as if I were them. Once the algorithm is trained I take whoever keeps showing up. Ideally over 50k average views. Below that, $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.

Like a kitchen-renovation and you will leave the break-room people. Scout is $1,500/month because some founders will still want the list without becoming a hashtag intern.

When a hashtag is enough

If you are learning that desk blend, USB death, not kitchen-renovation is next to died-at-work, chunky-protein, USB-charge-fail, ‘I will not get the big blender out’, a tag is enough. If you are about to spend talent money, it is not.

The tag is gadget roundups and kitchen hauls.
