What portable blenders creators charge
I do not have a rate card for portable blenders and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.
The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. Gadget reviewers quote roundup rates.
The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.
Why email is where the money-sink happens
I prefer email. The contact is usually in a small desk-lunch bio. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”
Died-at-work rants already have the audience; a live cup with a named charge time is the demo.
What not to pay for
A countertop unboxing that never hits a desk. Do not ask for a 10-blender test. Ask them to blend ice at a desk on one charge. Skip the 700k kitchen-gadget reviewer who tests 10 blenders for a roundup.
The tag is gadget roundups and kitchen hauls.
What I actually measure
Unique codes, not a 10-blender roundup. Shop or site codes on a live cup. No download guarantee. No demo.
If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
