How to write a proposal tool creator brief
A proposal tool creator brief is not a media-plan age band. It is a session: a person, a problem, a pattern of watch-time. I write it before I open a fresh account.
The sentence I actually scroll as: US English freelancer, 27-41, already bounced off a Google Doc they export to PDF and PandaDoc’s price, watches ‘the proposal is still a Doc’ and ‘they asked for a PDF and I lost two hours’ videos the night before a bid is due.
Problem in their mouth: The pricing table broke in the PDF and I found out after I sent it.
Already tried: a Google Doc exported to PDF, PandaDoc until the bill, and a Notion page the client could not comment on.
Watch: Doc-to-PDF pain, PandaDoc-price, ‘they ghosted after the 20-pager’, last-night bid panic.
Reject: the agency-YouTuber selling a $2k proposal template pack.
Adjacent: last-night bids, ghosted 20-pagers, not enterprise CPQ.

What to put on the page you send a creator
That later page is not the avatar brief. The avatar brief is for the phone. The creator page is: one mechanic, one CTA, one forbid list.
Mechanic: a proposal that is not a 20-page PDF, or an e-sign that a freelancer can send from a phone. A working one-page proposal they can e-sign tonight.
CTA: Write the one-pager, send it, show the signed page.
Forbid: Do not ask them to flash a $40k deal as your ROAS. Ask them to send a one-pager and show it signed. No medical claims. No fake “not sponsored” energy when you paid them.
Write, send, no CPQ onboarding. If they never open the product, the video will be a read-through of your website.
What to ignore
Follower counts, “micro vs macro,” competitor creator lists, and anything that starts with #freelancer. Those belong in the outreach spreadsheet, after you have names from a feed.
Also ignore “make it go viral.” An avatar brief cannot promise that. It can only promise match.
Example video to have in your head while you write: someone exporting a Doc at 11pm and finding the pricing table broke.
Broken-export rants already have the audience; a one-page e-sign they can send from a phone is the product.
Scout is $1,500/month for the list that comes out of this brief. You approve every creator and every rate. No demo. No download guarantee.
