What silk pillowcases creators charge
I do not have a rate card for silk pillowcases and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.
The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. Hair gurus quote stack rates.
The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.
Why email is where the money-sink happens
I prefer email. The contact is usually in a small morning-hair bio, not a 12-product storefront. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”
Fake-silk rants already have the audience; a live mulberry case in standard is the demo. No hair-growth claims.
What not to pay for
A styled unslept bed. Do not ask them to claim it grew hair or cured skin. Ask them to sleep on it and show the fabric. Skip the 1M hair-guru whose pillowcase is a 12-product morning stack.
The tag is hair-guru stacks.
What I actually measure
Unique codes, not a hair-growth claim. Shop or site codes on a live size/color. No download guarantee. No demo.
If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
