First sleep tracker apps campaign checklist

Creator-powered user acquisition

A first sleep tracker apps campaign at founder scale. Numbered so you can stop lying to yourself about which step you skipped.

  1. Confirm a live listing that works with the phone on the nightstand, not a hardware waitlist actually closes. Creators cannot fix packaging.
  2. Write the avatar in a sentence: US English, 26-41, already bounced off an Oura they stopped charging and Calm sleep stories they skipped, watches ‘my sleep score made me worse’ and 4am-awake videos with the room dark.
  3. Write the problem in their mouth: The score told me I failed at sleeping, so now I am awake and mad at a ring.
  4. Write what they already quit: an Oura they stopped charging, Calm sleep stories, and a cheap Amazon tracker whose app is ads.
  5. Write what they watch: sleep-score anxiety, 4am-awake, ‘I took the ring off’, mouth-taping arguments they are tired of.
  6. Write the reject: the biohacker with a 12-supplement stack whose last 20 posts are brand deals.
  7. Write adjacent so the phone does not smear: anxiety-at-night, not eight-hour-miracle claims.
  8. Put that sentence into the brief
  9. Scroll as them on a fresh Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube account. Example to look for: someone taking the ring off because the score was ruining breakfast. Signal: the same 4am-awake face twice in one week.
  10. Keep a 50k average-view floor. Below that, $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.
  11. Skip #sleeptracker as a roster method.
  12. Email. The contact is usually in a bio next to Amazon storefront links; say you are not a storefront item. Name a real video. Ask for the phone number.
  13. If they won’t give a number, move on. Ring affiliates quote hardware-launch rates for a phone app.
  14. On the call, Minimum View Guarantee. Example: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Talent extra.
  15. Send the contract while the yes is still warm. Scout $1,500 / Outreach $2,500 / Dealmaker $5,000.
  16. A working wind-down they can run tonight without pairing a device.
  17. Tell them what to film: start the wind-down, put the phone face down, stop talking. Do not ask them to claim they slept 8 hours because of you. No medical claims. Show the wind-down.
  18. Give each creator their own code. Unique App Store codes, not a screenshot of someone else’s ring score.
  19. Do not run a launch day on the same morning if you wanted isolation.
  20. Two follow-ups, then stop. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.

Doing the scroll by hand is kind of soul-crushing. Like a mouth-tape video and you will get a week of biohacking SKUs. No demo. No download guarantee. You approve every creator and every rate.

Sleep-score hate is already a genre; a phone-only wind-down that does not grade them can be the relief beat.
