How to find sober-curious apps TikTok creators

Creator-powered user acquisition

I scroll Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube under a fresh account if I’m looking for sober-curious apps creators. I try to put myself in the shoes of the person who would download this: US English, 26-38, already bounced off I Am Sober streaks and a Dry January badge they hid, watches ‘I am not an alcoholic I just hate Sunday’ and mocktails-that-still-feel-sad videos after a wedding RSVP. Then I linger, save, like, and comment as if I were them. Once the algorithm is trained I take whoever keeps showing up.

I do not open #sobercurious and call the spreadsheet research.

They watch sober-curious, ‘I hate Sunday’, Dry January collapse, NA-beer arguments, wedding-RSVP dread. They already tried I Am Sober they felt watched by, Dry January they broke on the 12th, and a group chat that still sends bar photos. Adjacent is Sunday dread, wedding RSVPs, not clinic ads and not drinking-game content. Skip the recovery-coach selling a $2k container whose content is medical-adjacent lectures.

Ideally over 50k average. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink.

What keeps showing up in this feed

The same Sunday-dread face two weekends in a row. The example I want in my head: someone declining a drink, opening a streak app that scolded them for last Saturday, and closing it.

Sunday-dread videos already have the audience; a counter that does not lecture a slip is the tone they will actually keep open.

Doing this by hand is kind of soul-crushing. One like on a party-bar video and the phone will leave Sunday-dread content. That is why I automated the scrolling. Scout is $1,500/month for the list.

The long method essay is How we find creators by scrolling a real TikTok avatar. I wrote the first-person version at How I find influencers.

Reject list, written down

Write the reject before you scroll: the recovery-coach selling a $2k container whose content is medical-adjacent lectures. Also skip anyone whose last dozen posts are collab ads and who has never talked about sober-curious, ‘I hate Sunday’, Dry January collapse, NA-beer arguments, wedding-RSVP dread.

If they only exist under #sobercurious, they wanted brands to find them. That is not who is being served to the person who would download this tonight.

50k floor

I want roughly 50k average views because the economics will not work otherwise. Container coaches quote program prices; NA brands want product seeding, not an app. $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.

If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from. One no is not the campaign.

Where JumpTrend sits

Scout $1,500 / Outreach $2,500 / Dealmaker $5,000 per month. Creator fees extra. No demo. No download guarantee. You approve every creator and every rate.
