What sober-curious apps creators charge

Creator-powered user acquisition

I do not have a rate card for sober-curious apps and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.

The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. Container coaches quote program prices; NA brands want product seeding, not an app.

The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.

Why email is where the money-sink happens

I prefer email. The contact is usually in a bio under a Sobriety workbook; say this is an app counter post, not a course. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”

Sunday-dread videos already have the audience; a counter that does not lecture a slip is the tone they will actually keep open.

What not to pay for

A pretty mocktail with no day counter. Do not ask them to diagnose anyone or say the app cured them. Ask them to log a Saturday plan. Skip the recovery-coach selling a $2k container whose content is medical-adjacent lectures.

The tag mixes NA brands wanting gifting with coaches selling containers.

What I actually measure

Unique App Store codes, not a mocktail pour with your sticker. App Store installs with a unique custom code. No download guarantee. No demo.

If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
