How to find status page tools TikTok creators
I scroll Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube under a fresh account if I’m looking for status page tools creators. I try to put myself in the shoes of the person who would pay for this tool: US English solo SaaS, 27-40, already bounced off Statuspage.io pricing and a Twitter-as-status-page habit, watches ‘our status page is a tweet’ and ‘Statuspage wants more than my product’ videos during an outage. Then I linger, save, like, and comment as if I were them. Once the algorithm is trained I take whoever keeps showing up.
I do not open #devops and call the spreadsheet research.
They watch outage-tweet recaps, Statuspage-price shock, ‘I posted the incident in Slack and customers never saw it’, uptime-robot screenshots. They already tried a tweet thread as a status page, Statuspage.io until they saw the bill, and a Google Doc they DMed to angry users. Adjacent is outage tweets, phone-posted incidents, not SRE theater. Skip the DevOps influencer whose grid is Kubernetes and who will not talk to a solo founder.
Ideally over 50k average. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink.
What keeps showing up in this feed
The same outage-tweet face after two incidents. The example I want in my head: someone tweeting ‘we’re down’ and then arguing in replies because there is no incident URL.
Outage-tweet recaps already have the audience; a URL they can post from a phone is the product.
Doing this by hand is kind of soul-crushing. Like a K8s incident and you will leave the tweet-as-status people. That is why I automated the scrolling. Scout is $1,500/month for the list.
The long method essay is How we find creators by scrolling a real TikTok avatar. I wrote the first-person version at How I find influencers.
Reject list, written down
Write the reject before you scroll: the DevOps influencer whose grid is Kubernetes and who will not talk to a solo founder. Also skip anyone whose last dozen posts are collab ads and who has never talked about outage-tweet recaps, Statuspage-price shock, ‘I posted the incident in Slack and customers never saw it’, uptime-robot screenshots.
If they only exist under #devops, they wanted brands to find them. That is not who is being served to the person who would pay for this tool tonight.
50k floor
I want roughly 50k average views because the economics will not work otherwise. DevOps influencers quote conference-talk rates. $700 a post for 1k views is a money sink.
If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from. One no is not the campaign.
