How to write a tower defense game creator brief

Creator-powered user acquisition

A tower defense game creator brief is not a media-plan age band. It is a session: a person, a problem, a pattern of watch-time. I write it before I open a fresh account.

The sentence I actually scroll as: US English, 18-34, already bounced off a TD that energy-gated waves and a defense game that was ads between maps, watches ‘I cannot start the next wave’ and late-night-map videos on a couch.

Problem in their mouth: I beat the map and the game wants an hour before I can start the next wave.

Already tried: a TD that energy-gated waves, a defense game that was ads between maps, and Bloons they already know, on a day they wanted something new.

Watch: energy-gated-waves, ads-between-maps, late-night-maps, ‘I just wanted Bloons on a phone without the wait’.

Reject: the 350k TD YouTuber who only posts PC mods.

Adjacent: couch maps, energy-gated waves, not PC-mod lectures.

What to put on the page you send a creator

That later page is not the avatar brief. The avatar brief is for the phone. The creator page is: one mechanic, one CTA, one forbid list.

Mechanic: a live TD with a first map that is not an energy gate, or a wave that is not a 30-second ad. A live listing whose first screenshot is a map, not a cinematic.

CTA: Install, beat a map, start the next wave without an hour wait, drop the code.

Forbid: Do not ask for a PC recap or a CPI. Ask them to finish a map and start the next wave. No medical claims. No fake “not sponsored” energy when you paid them.

A first map they can finish on a couch. If they never open the product, the video will be a read-through of your website.

What to ignore

Follower counts, “micro vs macro,” competitor creator lists, and anything that starts with #towerdefense. Those belong in the outreach spreadsheet, after you have names from a feed.

Also ignore “make it go viral.” An avatar brief cannot promise that. It can only promise match.

Example video to have in your head while you write: someone beating a map and hitting an energy wall before the next.

Energy-wall rants already have the audience; a first map they can play at night is the demo.

Scout is $1,500/month for the list that comes out of this brief. You approve every creator and every rate. No demo. No download guarantee.
