How to write a vanlife planner creator brief
A vanlife planner creator brief is not a media-plan age band. It is a session: a person, a problem, a pattern of watch-time. I write it before I open a fresh account.
The sentence I actually scroll as: US English, 24-40, already bounced off iOverlander they find noisy and a Facebook group that is 80 percent ads, watches ‘the group is ads’ and dump-station-hunt videos at dusk.
Problem in their mouth: It is dusk and the last three spots in the group were ads.
Already tried: iOverlander they find noisy, a Facebook group that is ads, and a paper atlas they cannot update.
Watch: group-is-ads, dump-station-hunt, dusk-parking, iOverlander is a pile.
Reject: the 1M vanlife-influencer whose van is a brand trip.
Adjacent: dusk dump stations, noisy maps, not van-renovation flex.

What to put on the page you send a creator
That later page is not the avatar brief. The avatar brief is for the phone. The creator page is: one mechanic, one CTA, one forbid list.
Mechanic: a dump-station log that is not a Facebook group, or a night-parking note they can open offline. A live listing whose first screenshot is a dump station and a night note, not a renovation.
CTA: Save a station, open it offline at dusk, drop the code.
Forbid: Do not ask for a renovation tour. Ask them to log a dump station at dusk offline. No medical claims. No fake “not sponsored” energy when you paid them.
Save a station they can open offline at dusk. If they never open the product, the video will be a read-through of your website.
What to ignore
Follower counts, “micro vs macro,” competitor creator lists, and anything that starts with #vanlife. Those belong in the outreach spreadsheet, after you have names from a feed.
Also ignore “make it go viral.” An avatar brief cannot promise that. It can only promise match.
Example video to have in your head while you write: someone hunting a dump station at dusk because the group post was an ad.
Group-is-ads rants already have the audience; an offline dump-station log is the product.
Scout is $1,500/month for the list that comes out of this brief. You approve every creator and every rate. No demo. No download guarantee.
