What vinyl collection apps creators charge
I do not have a rate card for vinyl collection apps and I will not invent one. What I have is a filter and a deal shape.
The filter: roughly 50k average views. Below that they quote $700 a post for 1k views. That’s a money sink. Vinyl influencers quote grail rates.
The deal shape: pay $X for N posts with a Minimum View Guarantee of Y. An example that is easy to hold: $2000 / 4 posts / 1M views. Balance those so you hit your CPM. Creator compensation is extra on every JumpTrend plan. Scout is $1,500. Outreach is $2,500. Dealmaker is $5,000. Those numbers are for matching, contacting, and paper. Talent is a separate invoice you approve.
Why email is where the money-sink happens
I prefer email. The contact is usually in a small crate-dig bio. Don’t start the deal over email. Ask for the phone number. If they won’t, move on. Talking deal over email is how you get the first number. On a call I can explain a floor of views. Over email you just get “$700 a post.”
Discogs-on-phone rants already have the audience; a shelf log they can open in an aisle is the product.
What not to pay for
A grail flex with no shelf log. Do not ask for a grail unboxing. Ask them to check a shelf in an aisle. Skip the 500k vinyl-influencer whose grid is a $200 grail flex.
The tag is grail-flex talent and shop affiliates.
What I actually measure
Unique App Store codes, not a grail clip. App Store installs with a unique custom code. No download guarantee. No demo.
If they think the offer is too low, keep the same CPM and just up the numbers. Increasing your CPM should almost never be an option if it makes the product unprofitable. Move on. If you do this right, ie at scale, you will have many other creators to choose from.
