Boutique Creator Agency

A boutique creator agency (also: boutique influencer shop, small creator studio) is a 3–15 person team that already has clients, brands, sometimes apps, and sells discovery, outreach, coordination, or always-on roster work. It is not a holding-company media network and not a solo founder doing DMs at midnight. It is also not JumpTrend.

This entity exists because the learn cluster’s buyer set is expanding: indie iOS remains a page; the first extra avatar is often this shop.

Why it matters

Boutique shops die in two ways: they cannot differentiate the deck (same mid-tiers as the shop next door), or they eat the retainer on manual scrolling they cannot staff. Hashtag and lookalike lists recycle. When discovery is slow, they fill the PDF with whoever replied last time. The work looks interchangeable.

Feed-as-avatar discovery is a way to walk in with names the client’s customer is being shown this week. It does not replace the CRM, the invoice, or the relationship.

What the shop keeps

The retainer. The face of the account. Approval of every creator and every rate. Creator fees with the client, not inside a vendor cut. JumpTrend’s agency offer is explicit about that: Scout $1,500 is the list; Outreach $2,500 can be in your voice; Dealmaker $5,000 is paper you approve; cancel anytime; no demo.

One plan is one avatar. Do not run five brands on one feed.

What “boutique” is not

  • A two-person UGC mill with no clients yet (you are closer to the founder buyer)
  • A UA performance shop that only buys media (see JumpTrend vs hiring a UA agency)
  • An influencer marketplace
  • A competitor index

If you are learning influencer marketing from scratch, this is the wrong SKU. The agency page says so.

Packaging

Retainer vs project is the packaging choice. Creator deck is the artifact. Creator roster overlap is the trust problem. Discovery how-to: Creator discovery for agencies.

Measurement: do not sell vanity views as UA. The caveat belongs in the SOW.

How the hours actually go

A three-person shop with six clients cannot give each brand a dedicated For You operator. The hours go to decks, Slack, and the creators who already reply. That is why a $1,500 extra avatar is the first product-shaped buy: it is one client’s session without hiring a fourth person.

Fifteen people with a coordinator can staff more. They still recycle names if discovery is a checkbox export. Headcount is not a method.

What clients should ask before they sign

  • How did you find these names? (session / database / roster)
  • Which handles overlap your other clients?
  • What is the destination (app vs Shop)?
  • What will we measure besides views?
  • Who pays talent, and who approves the rate?
  • Who is in Ads Manager if we Spark?

If the shop cannot answer without a capabilities slide, you are buying a vibe.

JumpTrend is not your competitor

JumpTrend does not take the client meeting, does not mark up talent, and does not replace Modash as a CRM. The learn cluster will not pretend a matching layer is a full-service shop. If you need a UA performance agency, hire one. If you need in-feed names for a client who can smell a recycled deck, that is the job this entity points at.

Mobile game UA and DTC as later avatars

This cluster’s extra buyer order is: boutique shops first, then DTC/TikTok Shop, then mobile game UA. A boutique shop may already serve those categories. The method does not change: one avatar per feed, destination stated, vanity views not the KPI. Game UA that only wants a CPI network is a different invoice. Shop-only catalog work may need Aspire or Grin more than a $1,500 list. Say so. Do not force every client onto the same SKU.

FAQ

How small is boutique?

This cluster uses 3–15 people as the working band: enough to have clients and a roster, not enough to scroll a fresh avatar for every brand every week and still bill hours. Larger holding-company shops are a different buyer.

Is JumpTrend an agency?

No. JumpTrend is matching (and optional inbox/paper). You keep the retainer and the client relationship. See jumptrend.co/agencies.

Should a boutique shop buy Modash or JumpTrend?

Different jobs. A database is history, filters, emails. An avatar scroll is who this client's customer is being served. Many shops have one and need the other for the first slide.

Will JumpTrend talk to our clients?

Not on Scout. Outreach can go out in your name. You stay the face of the account.
